As our customers all know,
the real boss of the shop is
Tiki, the resident feline.  

Tiki's responsibilities include:

  • Greeting customers.
  • Inspecting deliveries.
  • Shedding, to support   
    dusting of the shop.
  • Night time window
    patrol. Tiki assists the
    Durham police in
    monitoring activity on
    Broad Street.
  • Sleeping in the display
    cabinet, to draw
    attention to our gift
    items.


Frequently Asked Questions

"Is that a real cat?"       Yes
"Does she live here?"   Yes
"Can I pet her?"   Yes, if she's not sleeping.
"Can I pick her up?"  We don't advise it.
"Why is she in the cabinet?"  It's warm.
"Does she ever knock over the              
 instruments?"  No, she leaves that to us.
"Can I buy her?"  No!  She's family.
