High Strung Rental Contract TERMS

PAYMENT DETAILS
  • Rent can be paid using Visa/Mastercard, Check or Cash.
  • Credit card on file or security deposit is required on all rentals.
  • Rent is due on the first of the month.
  • A $5 late charge is added to any rent unpaid by the fifth of the month.
  • If you choose to end this contract, you must return the instrument by the last day of
the month, or you will be charged the following month’s rent.
  • Rent continues to be charged until you return the instrument.
  • No refund of rental fees is given for early return of the instrument (i.e., before the
    end of the month.)
  • A one-time Set-up fee is charged on each instrument being rented.
  • You may trade in your instrument for a larger size at any time, and if your account is
current and the contract still in force, the set-up fee on the new instrument will be
    waived.

CREDIT TOWARDS PURCHASE
  • 100% of the rent you pay can be used towards purchasing any bowed instrument in
the shop - up to half of the price of the instrument you want to buy.
  • Our rental credit program is different from rent-to-own because you are not locked
into buying the instrument you are renting.
  • Rental credit does not apply to sale-priced, discounted or consignment instruments.
  • If your account is not in good standing because you have failed to make rental
payment(s) in a timely manner, the purchase credit is void. That is, if you don't pay
your rent on time, you don't get the purchase credit.
  • You must use the rental credit within 30 days of the last day of the last month for
    which you paid rent.

WEAR AND TEAR
  • Your instrument comes to you in perfect playing condition, with all parts intact and
working. A bow, case and starter rosin are included.
  • Returned instruments should be intact and working; there should not be cracks in
the instrument, large chips out of the edges, missing parts, or broken bridges.
  • Normal wear and tear includes use of the strings and perhaps a surface scratch or
dent in the finish. This should be the only wear on the instrument if it is properly
taken care of by the student.
  • You, the renter, must pay for ANY damage to the instrument or bow that
exceeds normal wear and tear. If the instrument is not repairable, you are
responsible for the outfit price of the instrument.
