High Strung Violins & Guitars, Durham N.C.
Durham has a long tradition of music making
and The Festival for the Eno has been a great
showcase for Durham's musical heritage for 28
years.
High Strung is proud to become a part of the
Eno's musical tradition by sponsoring the first
ever Community Music Center at the
Festival for the Eno.
We believe that making music makes a
community richer and more cohesive. And, well,
MORE FUN!!!! High Strung supports musicians
of all types, and one of our big goals with the
Community Music Center at the Festival this
year is to help connect more Durham-ites with
music making.
The High Strung Community Music Center highlights:
- Learn to Play instruments - no previous experience required
- Pick, share and jam with other players in similiar genres
- Visit the High Strung Instrument museum, and learn the secrets of
instruments you thought you knew
- Old Instrument Road Show - bring your
grandpappy's whatever-that-is you found
in the attic. We'll tell you what it is (or at
least come up with a great story.)
